SUTTER


Druella “Dru” L. Sutter, age 85, of Celina passed away peacefully at her daughter’s home in Celina due to a recent illness on Sunday, September 26, 2021, at 2:48 am.
 

She was born on October 27, 1935 in Mendon, the youngest daughter of the late Berlin and Grace (Schwarck) Miller. 
 

Dru is survived by two daughters, Debb (Ed) Springer and Ellen (Mike Harner) Welker, both of Celina; a sister, Darrah High, Mendon; a sister-in-law, Eadie Miller, Mendon; six grandsons, Deric (Cari Calabrese) Kroft, Damien (Brandy) Kroft, Dusty (Lynsay) Kroft, Jarrod Sutter, Codey (Alicia) Welker and Craig (Kylee) Welker; a grandson-in-law, Ken Elking; sixteen great grandchildren, Chris (Trina) Elking, Clay (Jadie) Elking, Cortland (Taylor) Elking, Caliandra Elking, Serafina Calabrese, Zack Kroft, Chason Kroft, McKenzie Kroft, Hunter Kroft, Landen Kroft, Tanner Kroft, Olivia Sutter, Kevin Sutter, Wrenley Welker and Waylon Welker; and four great-great grandchildren, Mahalie, Maddox and Makinsley Elking and Ariah Kroft.


She was also preceded in death by Norb Sutter; a son, Kevin Sutter; two granddaughters, Danielle Elking and Dawn Kroft; and her siblings, Irene (Vane) Mills, Dorothy (Joe) Boyer, Twila Miller, Jack (Ann) Miller, Ralph High, Marilyn (Harold) Meihls and Emmett Miller. 
 

Dru was a 1953 graduate of the former Mendon-Union High School.  She retired in 1993 from Sears and Roebuck Catalog Store in Celina after 36 years of service.  Since that time, she cared for her grandchildren and worked with Midwest Logistics Systems until last month. 
 

She was a member of Ross Church in Spencerville, Ohio. 
 

Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm on Thursday, September 30, 2021, at Cisco Funeral Homes in Celina.


Funeral services will begin at 10:30 am on Friday, October 1, 2021 in the Cisco Funeral Home, Celina, with Rev. Matt Overman officiating; where the family will receive friends from one hour prior to the service.  
 

Interment will follow at Mercer Memory Gardens in Celina.
  

Memorial contributions can be made to the Cancer Association of Mercer County in Dru’s name.
