PFEFFENBERGER

 

Wilma Pfeffenberger, age 90, of Celina, passed away 

Tuesday, September 21, 2021, at Miller Place in Celina.

 

She was born May 29, 1931, in Jay County, Indiana,

to the late Phillip & Josephine (Muhlenkamp) Wellman.

 

On April 30, 1955, at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Wilma 
married James Pfeffenberger.

 

James survives, along with 5 children: Jane (Greg) Homan, Linda 

(Steve) Seibel, and Don (Kelly) Pfeffenberger, all of Celina,  Amy 

(Mark) McGraw of Troy, and Bob (Zeny) Pfeffenberger of West 

Alexandria, son-in-law, Dan Frantz of Versailles, a sister, Jenny 

(Dick) Alig of Coldwater, 17 grandchildren: Jacob, Josh and Brianna 

Frantz, Ryan (Janelle) Homan, Nicole (Derek) Agler, Laura Homan, 

Doug Felver, Katie Felver (Mark Parisien), Alex (Nadine) Seibel, 

Aaron Seibel, Kyle (Olivia) Pfeffenberger, Angie (Brian) Reitmann, 

Cory Pfeffenberger, Taylor Pfeffenberger (Craig Sommer), Rozen 

(Jared) Radaker, and Jo and Kat Pfeffenberger; 7 great grandchildren: 

Callie, Kayla, Brooke, Jace, Paxton, Bryant, and Maren, a sister-in-law: 

Norma Wellman of Jay County, and many nieces & nephews.

 

Deceased family members include her daughter, Diane Frantz, son-in-law,

Jeff Felver, siblings: Mildred (Melvin) Brunswick, Norbert (Julianna) Wellman,  

Cletus (Lou Ann) Wellman, Marcella (Wilbert) Reier, Lavern Wellman, and

Doris (Dennis) Grieshop, and sister-in-law, Mary Pfeffenberger (Bill) Millhouse.

 

Wilma was a devout member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina,

and belonged to the Altar Rosary Society.  In her younger years, Wilma worked at 

Mersman Tables in Celina, and later, as a wonderful Homemaker.   

 

She enjoyed cooking, and her children have fond memories of making homemade 

donuts together.  Wilma loved playing cards and spending time with her family.

She was an excellent seamstress, who made many of her children's clothes, and 

taught them to sew as well. 

 

Wilma was a much loved mother and grandmother to her children and 

grandchildren, and was always available to assist them in any way possible. 

 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, 

September 25, at Immaculate Conception Church in Celina, 

with Fr. Ken Schnipke, C.PP.S., presiding.

 

The Funeral Mass will be live-streamed on the church's website 

at https://celina-ic.org/live, with the video to remain available 

online for 30 days following the service.  

 

Burial will take place at St. Marys Cemetery in Celina.

 

Calling Hours are from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m., Friday, September 24, and 

9:00 to 9:45 a.m., on Saturday, September 25, at W.H. Dick & Sons-

Hellwarth Funeral Home in Celina.

 

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to: 

The Alzheimer's Association, EverHeart Hospice, or 

The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
