Betty had a loving
devotion to her family and her home, where she raised her children and
spent countless weekends spoiling her grandchildren. She had a passion
for gardening, tending to her home, and cooking for her family. Betty
was an avid exerciser, walking many miles every morning - even into her
early 90ís. She also regularly attended Grand Lake United Methodist
Church in Celina.
Betty worked at
the telephone company and at Sears as a phone operator, where she
retired after many years of service.
Betty was preceded
in death by her husband Samuel A. Messner (October 14, 1999). Surviving
are her children, Linda Fogt, Sidney, Ohio, Samuel A. (Gloria) Messner
Holland, Ohio, and Paula (Rich) Rolfes, Celina; a brother Ira (Marilyn)
Belcher, Celina; 7 grandchildren, Dusty, Erick, Jean, Jessica, Ronda,

great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by two
brothers, Bud and Bob Belcher; and sister, Donna Kline.
