WEAVER

M. Jean (Baltzell-Elder) Weaver, 93, of Van Wert, died at 3:05AM on Monday, October 22, 2018 at Vancrest of Van Wert. She was born December 29, 1924, in Van Wert County, to the late “Mack” and Mabel (Spelbring) Baltzell.
 

On August 6, 1942 she married Hugh Elder, Jr. who died August 9, 1983. On July 28, 1996 she married E. “Mickey” Weaver, who died July 23, 2004.

Jean worked for 27 years for Marsh Supermarket and 9 years for J. C. Penney Co. She was a member of Pleasant Chapel United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She was also a member of the Ridge Progressive Club. Mrs. Weaver was a volunteer for the Red Cross, Van Wert County Hospital and the Blood Bank.
 

She is survived by three daughters: Mary Ann Elder of Bradenton, FL; Betty Jean (John) Ingman of Altamonte Springs, FL; Janie (Charlie) Kennedy of Van Wert;  brother, Dick (Helen) Baltzell of Longwood, FL; sister, Ruth (David) Poe of Van Wert; sister-in-law, Sandy Baltzell of Cincinnati, OH; eight grandchildren: Rod (Jodi) Ruch, Steve (Carrie) Ruch, Jill Kennedy (Doug) Groves, Mike(Dawn) Kennedy, Tyson Kennedy, Lori Ingman (Bobby) King, Angie Ingman (Kenny) Collins, Cyndi Ingman (Rob) Nottage;, 14 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren .

She was also preceded in death by her brother, James Baltzell of Cincinnati.
 

Funeral service will be 10:30 AM, Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment will follow in Woodland Cemetery.
 

Visitation will be 2 to 6 PM on Friday, October 26, 2018 at the funeral home.

MANGER

Ansley Jo Manger was carried home to Heaven by the Angels, a year after she was born.  She was born on October 5, 2017 in Van Wert, Ohio and left her earthly home on October 22, 2018. 

 

Ansley had a smile that could light up a room; she melted everyone’s hearts she came in contact with.  She was a fighter from day one—there was never a dull moment with her around! 

 

She is survived by her loving mommy, Haley N. Phillips and her daddy, Trey M. Manger, of Rockford, along with maternal grandparents, Bruce and Brandy Bollenbacher of Rockford; paternal grandparents, Brian and Brenda Manger of Botkins; and paternal grandmother, Judy Larger of New Bremen.  Ansley will also be missed by uncles, Corbin (Brooke) Phillips, Rockford; Tyson Mobley, Celina; Ralph (Lisa) Stoker, Bellville; Dylan (Jayla) Baker, Rockford; and Cody Manger, Columbus.  Great-grandparents lovingly remembering Ansley are Ronda Manger, Russell Phillips, Elmer Jr. and Janice Larger, and Carol Zizelman.  

 

Awaiting her in Heaven are great-grandparents, Roger and Cathy Bruns, Carolyn Phillips, and Eugene Manger.  

 

Services will be held on Saturday, October 27, 2018, at 2:00 p.m., at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Rockford, with Rev. Catherine Beckett officiating.

 

Burial will follow in the church cemetery. 

 

Friends and relatives may call prior to the service at 11:00 a.m. up until the service at 2:00 p.m. 

 

Memorials may be directed to the family.
