HAMILTON

Sharon Lee Hamilton, age 76, of Mendon, went to be with her

Heavenly Father at Mercy Health - St. Vincent Medical Center

in Toledo, on Thursday, November 18, 2021.

Born June 7, 1945, in Celina, she was a daughter of Loyd Russel

& Dora Katherine (Krick) Simpson. Sharon's parents and sister,

Vickie L. Trisel, preceded her in death.

Sharon married Jim Hamilton on May 23, 1964. He survives, along

with their daughters: Kristina (Jake) Boroff and Kelly (Niel) Loll, of

Mendon, 7 grandchildren: Nathan, Evan, Avery and Meagan Boroff

and Bella, Sophie and Ceci Loll, and brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law:

Danny Trisel of Van Wert, Dan Hamilton, Bill (Barb) Hamilton and

Ken Hamilton, all of Mendon, Suzanne Sharpe of Spencerville, and

Esther Hamilton and Kathy Hamilton of Coldwater.

Also preceding Sharon in death were her parents-in-law: John & Nellie

(Hunsaker) Hamilton, and brothers-in-law: Gary and Donnie Hamilton.

Sharon graduated as Salutatorian of the 1963 Class of Mendon-Union

High School. She worked for a total of 26 years as a school cafeteria

cook, first at Mendon-Union, then later for Parkway Schools.

Community activities Sharon participated in were MURA (Mendon-Union

Recreation Association) and local variety shows. Working outdoors with

her many flowers was one of Sharon's favorite pastimes.

Sharon enjoyed making jewelry and trying new recipes. She loved her

pets and all animals, and was known to take-in and help injured animals.

Sharon was an active member of the Mendon First Church of God, serving

on the Church Council, teaching Sunday School and Bible School, and was

very involved in the church's outreach ministries.

A woman of faith, Sharon made certain her children and grandchildren

knew Jesus. She was a loving mother, devoted to her family and the Lord.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, November 23, at

the Mendon First Church of God, with her son-in-law, Pastor Jake Boroff,

to officiate. Burial will follow at Mendon Cemetery.

Calling Hours are at the Mendon First Church of God, from 2:00 - 7:00 P.M.,

Monday, November 22, and 10:00 - 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, November 23.

the Mendon First Church of God.
