SHERMAN

Ronald R. Sherman, age 78, of Mendon, passed away Friday, May 22, 2020, 

at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys.

Born October 14, 1941, in McGuffey, Ohio, he was a son of Roy Ottowell 

Sherman and Hazel Levon ( Ford ) Sherman.

Surviving are his spouse, Ronda Kay Koontz, three children: daughter, 

Lisa Sherman and son, Tracy Sherman, both of Kenton, and daughter, 

Miranda Sherman of Silver Spring, Maryland, six grandchildren: 

Zachary, Zane, Nicholas, Samantha, and Trey Sherman, and Charlotte 

Sherman-Johnson, four step-children: Rae Wilmarth, Ty Koontz, 

Renee Schulte, and Tony Koontz, and many step-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were two brothers: Roy and Dean Sherman, 

and the mother of his children, Judy Sherman.

Ron had worked at the Lima Army Tank Plant ( Joint Systems 

Manufacturing Center ) and had been a welder in the Lima area.  

Favorite pastimes were fishing and trapping.

Memorial Services will be held at a later date.
