KLINGLER
Edith M. Klingler,
80, of Celina, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2023 at Vancrest
in St. Marys surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 16,
1942 in Titus County, Texas to the late Alvie and Edith B. (Smith)
Lilly. On September 17, 1961 she married Dennis Klingler and he
survives at the residence in St. Marys. Other survivors
include two daughters, Tina (Tim) Frayer, Fort Wayne, Indiana and Amy
Klingler, New Bremen; eight grandchildren, Andrew, David, Tristan, Devan,
Cierra, Derek, Dillon and Kyla; and six great grandchildren and one on
the way. She was a 1960
graduate of Celina High School. Edith and her husband owned and
operated a Dime Store in New Bremen for 10 years and she went on to
retire from Crown Equipment in New Bremen after 28 ½ years of service. After retiring
Edith volunteered at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St.
Marys for 40 plus years; where she logged over 7000 hour of volunteer
time. She was a former president and president elect of the National
Cookie Cutter Collectors Club, a board member of National Cookie Cutter
Museum in Joplin, Missouri, past president of Senior Citizens Center in
New Bremen, and a member of the Blanketeers. She also made baby hats
for the hospital for many years. She was a very
active person and still met up with the friends she attended high school
with. Above all Edith loved her grandchildren, and she will be deeply
missed by them all. She was a
long-time member of Faith Alliance Church in New Bremen. Visitation hours
will be from 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm on Thursday, February 2, 2023 at Cisco
Funeral Home in Celina. Funeral services
will begin at 10:30 am on Friday, February 3, 2023 at Cisco Funeral Home
in Celina with Pastor Dave Wray officiating; where the family will
receive friends from 9:30 am – 10:30 am prior to the service. Burial will follow
at Swamp College Cemetery in Celina. Memorial
contributions can be made to Grand Lake Hospice, 1122 E Spring St, St.
