ARNOLD

Edith “Odell” (Beasley) Arnold, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, age 91 of Celina, Ohio entered into the presence of her savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, January 25, 2022.  On September 14, 1952 she married Paul F. Arnold in Atmore, Alabama and he preceded her in death on August 21, 2021. 


Odell was born in Escambia County, Alabama on January 22, 1931 to the late Archie William and Adie Irene (White) Beasley.


She is survived by three sons, Tim (Joyce) Arnold, Dan (Jeannette) Arnold both of Celina and Greg (Sharon) Arnold, Prescott Valley, Arizona; she is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; a sister-in-law Betty Jean (Boyd) Arnold; and numerous nieces and nephews. 


She was preceded in death by her brother Richard Beasley and three sisters, Ernestine (Aubrey) Etheridge, Carolyn Simmons and Virginia (Bill) Amos. 

Odell and Paul fell in love when he was in the Navy stationed in Pensacola, Florida.  They were married in Atmore, Alabama on September 14, 1952.  After they were married they lived in Celina where they were members of Bethany United Methodist Church.  Odell served as a Sunday school teacher and on various committees.  She, along with Paul, were also very active in the Celina High School band boosters which at one time involved chaperoning approximately 200 band members to Mexico City.  Odell and her husband were owners of Bair Pharmacy, the Wyckoff building and founders of The Fountain Restaurant. 
 

After raising her sons, she joined her husband Paul at Bair Pharmacy and ran the cosmetic department.  She enjoyed greeting the community, meeting people and most importantly, sharing her faith.  After retiring she loved spending her time spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Cisco Funeral Home in Celina with the Rev. James Wilson officiating; where the family will receive friends from 11:30 am – 1:30 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
 

Burial will follow at Swamp College Cemetery in Celina.
