SCHNARRE

Marie Schnarre, age 95, formerly of Neptune, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2020 at 1:00 am, in the Gardens of Celina.  She was born January 4, 1925 in Chattanooga, Ohio to the late Vernon and Laura (Wolfe) Counterman.   She married Ralph O. Schnarre Jr. on January 1, 1960, and he preceded her in death on August 6, 2015. 

Survivors include two daughters, Karen (Mark) Elshoff, Celina, and Vicki (Eddie) Brooks, Celina; four grandchildren, Rachel (Dan) Guggenbiller, Ft. Recovery, OH, Megan (Alex Macur) Fleming, Columbus, OH, Craig (Molly) Brooks, Celina, and Chad (Rachel) Brooks, Ft. Wayne, IN; a sister, Mary Hull, Celina, a brother, Gene Counterman; and six great granddaughters, Riley, Jackson, Aleeah, Elizabeth, John, and Carrie.

Also preceded in death by four brothers, Leroy, Eddie, Glen, and Ray Counterman. 

Marie was a 1943 graduate of Rockford High School.  She worked at Winter Company in Berne, Indiana, Reynolds and Reynolds in Celina, and on the family farm.

She was a member of Neptune Church of God in Neptune.  She enjoyed sewing, baking, gardening, working on the family farm, being outdoors, watching her grandchild play sports and spending time with her family.

Private services will be held at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina, OH.  Burial will be at Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys, OH.
