VOGAN
Thomas H. Vogan, age 71, of Celina, entered into heavenly rest on Friday, January 11, 2019 at 8:17 pm in Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.  

 

He was born January 28, 1947 in St. Marys to the late Adam and Carol (Greber) Vogan.  On February 13, 1970 he married Dorathania Jean (McQueen) Vogan and she preceded him in death on June 27, 2016.

 

Other survivors include five children, Carol (Thomas) Prenger, Celina, Thomas (Tanya) Vogan, Stearns, KY, Francis (Ronald) Roby, St. Marys, Mark Vogan, Celina and Amanda Vogan, Celina; ex-son-in-law, Randy Mullins, Celina; grandchildren, Rachael, Kevin, Karla and Christine Prenger, Alex, Austin, Brandon Tristen, Sydney and Addison Vogan, Lance, Cameron, Randi Lynn, Dalton, and Jade Mullins, Cayley Vaughn, Preston and Jamyn Garman, Eliot Godwin; several great-grandchildren; a sister, Virginia (Jim) Hinkle; a brother, Vernon Silver; a sister-in-law, Helga Vogan; and many nieces and nephews. 

 

Also preceded in death by two brothers, Jack and Bruce Vogan; a sister, Anna Diedrich; two sisters-in-law, Regina Vogan, and Chris Silver; a brother-in-law, Jim Diedrich; and two grandchildren, Leah Grace Opal Mullins, and Paris Jewel Mullins. 

 

Tom proudly served his nation in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era.  He was a 40 plus year truck driver with a majority of those years at John Cheeseman trucking.

 

He was a member of Celina American Legion Post #210, Veteran of Foreign Wars Post 5713, and Celina Moose Lodge # 1473; where he enjoyed volunteering his time.  

 

Tom did not know a stranger and had many hobbies but he especially loved riding his Harley and joking around with his family and friends.  He will be deeply missed by them all. 

 

Visitation hours will be from 3 – 7 pm, Wednesday, January 16, 2019 in the Cisco Funeral Home, Celina.  Funeral services will follow at 7:00 pm in the funeral home with Patrick Bayman officiating; with military rites to be conducted by Celina American Legion Post #210 and VFW Post #5713.

 

Contributions can be made to the House of Hope, Celina, American SIDS Institute, and / or National Suicide Prevention Lifeline.

 

Arrangements have been entrusted to Cisco Funeral Home, Celina & St. Marys.
