Fleming, age 85, of Celina, Ohio, passed away on February 24, 2020 at 7:43 pm at Lima Memorial Health System, Lima, Ohio.  Albert was born near Willshire, Ohio to the late Francis E. and Mildred (Smith) Fleming on December 14, 1934.  They moved to the Celina area when he was small, and he helped his dad farm.  He married Anita (Hughes) Fleming in Chicago, Illinois on August 1, 1958, they were together for over 60 years and she survives at the residence.

Other survivors include his three children, Richard (Nancy Leffers) Fleming, Celina, Robert (Paula Clune) Fleming, Wren, Ohio and Debra Fleming, Celina; seven grandchildren, Misty (Randy) Wolverton, Convoy, Ohio, Michael Fleming, Wren, Ohio, Rachel (Daniel) Guggenbiller, Ft. He is also preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Paul and Yvonne Fleming Germann; his in-laws, Paul and Wanda Hughes; a brother-in-law, Larry Hughes; and a sister-in-law, Judith Hughes Fleming.

Albert was a 1954 graduate of Celina Senior High School and worked at Hayes Industries in Spencerville, Ohio.  He proudly served his country in the National Guard from 1958 to 1964.  When he came home, he began working at Hawthorn Melody Dairy, Berne, Indiana, New Idea, Coldwater, Ohio and then at Federal Mogul, Van Wert, Ohio for 30 years before retiring.

He farmed for several years and really enjoyed baling hay and he and a good friend remodeled homes and built three new ones.  He was always busy and when he became terribly ill, he had a hard time slowing down.  He loved to fish, the Celina Bulldogs football team and the Crestview Knights where his grandsons, great-grandson and great-granddaughter played.  He was very active in his church, Victory Chapel.  He loved his kids, grandkids and the great-grandkids were the high-point of his life.  He was a talker and never met a stranger.  When someone needed help, he was always there.  It was hard for him to accept help when his health declined.  He was grateful for his friends, neighbors and family who helped him in time of need.  He also loved to race ponies and help his kids and grandkids with their horses they showed at the fair.
