SELL

 

Pauline Louella Sell, 90, of Rockford passed away at 12:43 pm on Sunday, February 20, 2022 at Divine Nursing Home in Rockford.

She was born on June 13, 1931, in Mercer County, the daughter of the late Asa Logan Book and Martha Louella (Raver) Book.

On June 06, 1951, she married Carl Sell, who passed away on May 1, 2003.

Pauline was a 1949 graduate of Rockford High School, where she was the Valedictorian of her class. She worked in banking her entire career, retiring in 1996 from First Financial Bank. Pauline was a member of the New Horizons Church in Rockford. Surviving are four sons; Roger (Lynn) Sell of Rockford, Larry (Theresa) Sell of Bluffton, Indiana, Dr. Jerry (Connie) Sell of Rockford, and Ken (Kathy) Sell of Parks, Arizona, eleven grandchildren, and thirty one great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Pauline was preceded in death by three sisters; May Thomas, Olive Leighner, and Helen Rutledge, and four brothers; John Book, Russell Book, Rea Book, and Bill Book.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 am Saturday, March 5, 2022 at New Horizons Church, 833 South Main Street, Rockford, OH.

IRELAND

 

Jean Ann Ireland, 74, of Rockford passed away at 8:30 pm on Sunday, February 20, 2022 at Van Wert Health.

She was born on September 30, 1947, in Celina, the daughter of the late Jessie Lee Searight and Josephine Mamie (Nuding) Searight.

Jean was a 1966 graduate of Celina Senior High School. Jean worked at Mersman Tables in Celina, Corning Glass in Bluffton, Indiana, Teleflex, and Fort Recovery Industries. She was a member of The Rockford Belle Church. As a young adult Jean also attended Mt. Tabor Church and Praise Point Church. Jean enjoyed flowers and gardening, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving are one son; Brent (Cara) Ireland of Van Wert, one brother; Ron (Lisa) Searight of Rockford, one niece; Sheena Searight of Cleveland, and two grandchildren; Trevor and Dulcie Ireland of Van Wert.

She was preceded in death by an infant son; Craig Lee Ireland.

Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday February 24, 2022 at The Rockford Belle Church, 135 Market Street, Rockford, OH 45882 with Pastor Bonnie Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, 3750 US-33 Rockford, OH 45882. Family and friends will be received from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday February 23, 2022 at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home 111 W. First Street Rockford, OH 45882.
