KUHN

Alta Jean Kuhn, age 93, of Celina, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2018, at 1:15 am at Briarwood Village in Coldwater, Ohio.  She was born March 9, 1924 in St. Marys, Ohio to the late Clarence L. and Mildred (Nolan) Warthman.  

On November 1, 1946 she married Clarence E. Kuhn and he preceded her in death.
 

She is survived by two sons, John Kuhn, Celina, and Doug (Sheryle) Kuhn, Celina; five grandchildren, Lizbeth, John, Ryan, Hayley, and Lindsey; and seven great grandchildren, Livia, Gabriel, Anabel, Emme, Carolina, Charlie, and Berkeley. 
 

Alta Jean is also preceded in death by a brother, Lloyd Warthman; and two sisters, Madonna Checkeye, and Martha Lou Dammeyer.
 

She was a 1942 graduate of Celina Senior High School.  She retired from the Celina Insurance Group after 23 years of service.

Alta Jean was a member of the Celina First Church of God, the Sunshine Singers in Celina and a life member of Celina VFW Ladies Auxiliary.

She enjoyed writing poetry, listening to music, crocheting, and communicating with her grandchildren through her iPad.


Visitation hours will be from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm on Wednesday, February 21, 2018, in Cisco Funeral Home, Celina. 


Funeral services will begin at 10:30 am on Thursday morning in Cisco Funeral Home, Celina, with Rev. Richard Van Horn officiating; where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.  Burial will follow at North Grove Cemetery, Celina, OH. 


Contributions can be made to State of the Heart Hospice, American Cancer Society, and/or the donor’s favorite charity.

HULL

Phyllis Hull, age 90, of Celina, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2018, at 5:10 pm at Celina Manor.  

She was born May 29, 1927 in Wapakoneta, Ohio to the late Alvin A. and Lela (Roberts) Stover.  On May 7, 1950 she married Billy O. Hull; he preceded her in death on August 8, 1995. 
 

She is survived by two sons, Bruce (Tom) Hull, St Clairsville, Ohio, and Brad (Peg) Hull, Celina; three grandchildren, Jessica Weinlein, J.D. Hull, and Aaron Hull; and three greatgrandchildren. 
 

Phyllis is also preceded in death by a brother, William Stover; a sister, Virginia Widner; and a granddaughter, Heather Brackman. 
 

She was a 1945 graduate of Celina Senior High School.  She retired from J.C. Penny in Celina after many years of service. 

Phyllis was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church in Celina. 
 

Funeral services will begin at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 in Cisco Funeral Home, Celina, with Rev. Allan Brown officiating; where the family will receive friends 11:00 am – 1:00 pm  prior to the service.  

Burial will follow at Swamp College Cemetery, Celina, OH. 

Contributions can be made to State of the Heart Hospice.
