BEHM Ed is survived by
his wife of fifty-eight years, Nancy Behm of Celina; two children: Sue
Justice and Brenda (Jim) Weitz, all of Celina; grandchildren: Bruce
(Crystal Joseph) Beare of Rockford, Josh Highley of Coldwater, Jason
Mott of Celina, Jennifer Hoelscher of Celina, Jessica (Christopher)
Brockman of Celina, and Chad (Nikki) Rammel of Celina; siblings: Dorothy
Temple, Margaret (Roger) Flaute, and Albert Behm all of Celina; as well
as eighteen grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren. Ed was preceded in
death by his parents; a grandchild, Angel Dennis; his sister & brother
in-law, Kathleen (Philip) Montague; and a baby sister Marie. Ed proudly served
his country in the U.S. Army from 1959-1961. Ed was a very active and
devoted farmer and after thirty-four plus years of employment, he
retired from Mersmans Factory in Celina. Memberships and
organizations that Ed belonged to include, the Immaculate Conception
Catholic Church in Celina, the American Legion Post #210 in Celina, and
the Buick Club of America Ed was a
passionate farmer who committed much of his life to his successful farm
from every season of the year, enjoying and participating in all of the
farming activities that he worked tirelessly at. He was also a classic
car enthusiast, which was a passion that he shared with his wife Nancy.
Ed will be fondly remembered by his family and friends as a loving
father, a U.S. Army Veteran and a proud farmer. Attendees are
required to follow social distancing and guidelines dictated by the Ohio
Department of Health, due to the national concerns of COVID-19. Masks
are required by attendees at visitation and funeral. Visitation will
take place on Monday, December 28, 2020 from 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm at Cisco
Funeral Homes in Celina. Mass of Christian burial will begin at 10:30 am on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina with Fr. Tim McFarland C.PP.S. officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:15 am – 10:15 am at the funeral home Tuesday morning. Internment will
follow mass at St. Marys Catholic Cemetery in Celina. Memorial contributions can be made to the Immaculate Conception Church Endowment Fund.
