PHILLIPS
L. Russell Phillips Jr., age 67, of Celina, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2020 at his residence.  

He was born on September 29, 1953 in Celina to the late Leonard R. and Mary Virginia (Stoll) Phillips.  On October 28, 1972 he married Carolyn D. (Roop) Phillips and she preceded him in death on February 2, 2013.
 

He is survived by his children, Ryan Phillips, Celina, Marc Phillips, Van Wert, Heather Phillips, Wapakoneta and Melissa (Jason Musgrave) Phillips, Celina; a brother, Jerome Phillips, Celina; eleven grandchildren, Dylan Baker, Corbin Phillips, Haley Phillips, Devin Phillips, Mackenzie Phillips, Landon Musgrave, Daniel Martin, Raelyn Caldwell, Preston Phillips, Colin Youngpeter and Chance Youngpeter; and two great grandchildren, Avery Manger and Kyzer Harner.

 

Also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Ansley Manger.

 

Russ was a 1971 graduate of Parkway High School.  He worked for 25 plus years at Huffy Bicycle Factory in Celina.  He enjoyed bowling, golfing and watching NASCAR, the Detroit Lions and Ohio State football.   He was a very social person and loving spending time with family and friends.

He was a member Celina Eagles Aerie #1291 and Celina American Legion Post #210.

 

Visitation hours will be held from 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm on Sunday, August 23, 2020 in Cisco Funeral Homes in Celina.

 

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Monday, August 24, 2020 in Cisco Funeral Homes in Celina with Rev. Matt Overman officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. 

 

Burial will follow at Mercer Memory Gardens in Celina.

 

Attendees are asked to follow social distancing and guidelines dictated by the Ohio Department of Health, due to the National Health Concerns of Covid-19.  Masks are required by Attendees at the visitation and funeral.

 

Memorial contributions can be made to the C.A.L.L. Food Pantry in Celina.

FRITZINGER
William R. “Bill” Fritzinger, age 79 of Celina, Ohio passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2020 at the Parkview Hospital, in Ft. Wayne, Indiana.

 

He was born on April 13, 1941 in Celina, Ohio to the late J. Elmer and Mabel (Gantz) Fritzinger.

 

On June 13, 1970 he married Elaine Klenz, who survives in Celina.

 

William is also survived by: two children Valerie Fritzinger and John (Jenny Haines) Fritzinger, two grandchildren Austin Haines and Zach Haines, a brother and sister-in-law John E. (Lucretia) Fritzinger all of Celina and his sister Joanna (Don) Callahan of Dayton.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his infant son Mark R. Fritzinger.

William proudly served his country in the United State Army during the Vietnam War. He was a farmer all of his life and retired as a Processing Engineer from International Harvester / Navistar after 33 years of service.

He was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church in Celina and a member of the Celina American Legion Post #210 and a member of the N.R.A. During his retirement he enjoyed collecting old cars, tractors and attending car shows. He was an avid Ohio State Fan.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at the St. John Lutheran Church in Celina, with Rev. Jeff Gramza officiating.

 

Burial will follow in the State Line Cemetery, with Military Honors provided by the Celina American Legion #210 and the Celina V. F. W. Post # 5713.

 

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Monday Aug. 24, 2020 at the Lehman-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina and a hour before services on Tuesday at the Church.

 

Attendees should observe social-distancing and wear a face masks, according to guidelines recommended by the Ohio Department of Health.
