February 3, 2015 TO: Local Media FROM: Mike Kirkendall, Court Reporter RE: Court activity Retired Judge Charles Steele heard the following cases on Tuesday, February 03, 2015: Richard Strunkenburg, 38, Van Wert, was sentenced for two counts of Prohibitions concerning Companion Animals, each a felony 5. He was sentenced to: 3 years community control, 90 days jail with work release, and then 90 days Electronic House Arrest, additional 30 days jail at later date, 200 hours community service, 2 years intensive probation, and ordered to pay court costs. 12 months prison, concurrent, was deferred. Ernie Teman, 40, Delphos, change his plea to Guilty to Theft, Misdemeanor 1 (reduced from Felony 5). Two other theft charges were dismissed for his plea. The Court ordered a presentence investigation and set sentencing for a future date to be set.
