December 2, 2015 TO: Local Media FROM: Mike Kirkendall, Court Reporter RE: Court activity TUESDAY, DECEMBER 1, 2015 JUDGE BURCHFIELD: CHANGE OF PLEA/TIL Kory Stewart, 38, Van Wert, changed his plea to Guilty to Attempted Cultivation of Marijuana, Felony 4, (reduced from F3, Cultivation of Marijuana). He then requested, and was granted, Treatment in Lieu of Conviction and his case was stayed pending completion of the counseling program. BOND VIOLATION/Time Waiver Kenneth Lewis, 43, Oakwood, admitted to violating his probation by failing to report to probation. He was released on a surety bond with strict reporting requirements. He also requested a continuance of his December trial date and signed a time waiver. SENTENCING Joshua McGinnis, 34, Delphos, Attempted Child Endangerment, Felony 4. He was sentenced to 5 years community control, up to 6 months at WORTH Center, additional 60 days jail at a later date, 200 hours community service, complete GED and parenting classes, 3 years intensive probation, ordered to pay costs and partial appointed counsel fees. 16 months prison was deferred. WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 2, 2015 JUDGE TAYLOR: ARRAIGNMENT Jeremy Whitaker, 35, Delphos, entered not guilty pleas to two counts of Trafficking in Heroin, each F4. He was released on a surety bond with pretrial set for 12/16/15 @ 8 am.
