5 cases heard today by Judge Martin Burchfield
Joseph Mohr, Jr. 39, Van Wert, signed a waiver of his speedy trial rights in open court and requested a continuance of his January trial. That continuance was granted and a pretrial scheduled for 12/1/15 at 2 pm
BILL OF INFORMATION
Aaron Deffenbaugh, 20, Van Wert, entered a plea of Guilty to a Prosecutorís Bill of Information charging him with Trespass in a Habitation, Felony 4. His original charge of Burglary F2 was dismissed for his plea. He then requested and was granted Treatment in Lieu of Conviction and his case was stayed pending completion of the counseling program.
CHANGE OF PLEA/ TIL
Crystal Protsman, 21, Van Wert, entered a plea of guilty to Theft F5. She then requested and was granted Treatment in Lieu of Conviction and her case was stayed pending completion of the counseling program.
Brittnie Garwood, 27, Van Wert, was sentenced for Trafficking in a Counterfeit Controlled Substance, F5. She was sentenced to 9 months prison. She was also ordered to pay $140 restitution to the West Central Ohio Crime Task Force plus court costs.
Jordan Black, 28, Van Wert, appeared before Judge Burchfield to request that his bond be modified to a surety bond. That request was granted on the conditions that he have no contact with his grandparents, pass regular drug tests, and obey an 8 pm to 8 am curfew.
